Sassi OUR WONDERDOG, FULL OF LOVE

You can read about Sassi in earlier blogs www.animalswithoutlimits.blogspot.com about how her owner rescued her, starved her, then abandonen her to AWL.

We take care of Sassi, she is now spayed and our volunteer Martina took her into her home and 6 dogs for a couple of days recovering and monitoring her. This is the update I got from Martina.

"She was perfect with dogs(at the beginning growled but then she loved all my sweet dogs,especially Buba), perfect with the cat, perfect with pee :) always outside! She slept with us in the bedroom last night and this morning she woke me up to go out and pee :). She waited me flat on the floor all the bowls firt to all my dogs and then to her. I never heard her bark in these two days. She is also learning to go on a leash. She is sweet, I love her so much! "

If you are a loving and thoughtful patience person/family and would love to foster her or getting her what she deserves the most, a permanent home. She need a very firm hand that will help her understand what you want from her and to let her be who she is.

She is full of Amore and loves to dig in the garden!

William is a young male, not even one year old and already a broken heart.

He was chained up and the collar grew in his neck. Then he was kicked out on the street. Not been easy first chained up and then kicked out, he got a broken heart. He wants to be assured that you love him and he loves to follow and eat from your hand.

He is castrated IN need a lovely family that loves to be outdoor a lot together with him.

He is a sweetheart with children and people.

MAX is his name and he is probably around 1-2 years old. Dr Fransesco examined him last evening. He is very skinny 40-50 kg and is now being treated for infection in his body, de wormed etc.
Max fooled the security guards and went on base, saw the vet clinic door open and went in. The receptionist called us. MAX has an American microchip number. We don't get the name or any information. That ties our hands.

Max was picked up by a volunteer Susi, that are having him short term foster home. He is lovely, follows her around, great with her small rescue dogs.

House broken, licking and loving children, he knows sit, lay and shake paw!

We are searching after a family that can give him time and love and security.

MAX have gone through a lot. I found out that he has been in a car accident as a puppy, and had lung-injery. They had to put in a chest tube. He is doing great now!

And now...his family left back to the States and MAX has been on the street for some time since he is skinny (that happens with former pets they don't know how to get food left out, it has been served frequently when he had a home)

His face have scares from dog attacks (Max is a former pet and doesn't understand street talk and becomes an easy target for fights)

He is a goof with a big heart. Help him find home!

DUSTY IS ADOPTED LEAVING FOR SWEDEN

Dusty was left on the street, hit my a car (very badly) She was brought to AWL who took her to ER and then Dr Damiani for treatment. Now she is at AWL rehab/hospice and have recovered so great. She runs, jumps and loves to be out in the garden.

She is an adult, spayed, 8 kg, good with other dogs (not the playful type but happy) likes children but would like older children who want to scratch her tummy.

She is sterilized and loves company. DOesn't need long walks, happy with a garden and your company.

Litterally thrown out in front of a rescue lady. She picked her up and rushed home to take care of her.

BENNY WITH THE BIGGEST HEART GOT A FUR-EVER HOME

Benny was found exhausted and sick. He still had a to small steel collar around his neckHe had erchlicia and leichaminiosis and has been under successful treatment.

He has the biggest heart, and loves to run outside and play, inside he wants to be held in your arms. He thinks he is a lap dog.

Fluke got his furever family up North. We are so happy for this guy!

Fluke, male and neutered we think 6-8 months old is a lovely young brat. He was roaming around on the streets and you could tell he wasn't street smart. He even had a collar.

He is living in a household with 19 other dogs, children and one gold fish. He is doing fantastic.

He loves to play, catch the water hose water when on, steeling things in the house...just exploring life.

He wants to be with you the whole time...did I say he is a great catcher?

New picture on Ms Maples.

Miss Maple is a young ( approx. 1 year old) sterilized female found roaming around in Lago Patria. She was nearly being hit by many cars, you could see she was not "street smart." She tried to seek contact with other people with her tail in between her legs, showing she was not aggressive.
She is very social, and loves to be close to you. Is well behaved with children but doesn't like to be chased. (Well behaved children is a requirement). With other dogs, she is great, she can easily be a more dominant dog in a positive way.
She squeezed herself in between the gate bars when she saw me leaving, only to run next to me and towards my car. She is a lovely dog which you can have a lot of fun with, and who will be very loyal to whomever shows her affection and loyalty. She's smart, agility training is not out of the question for her, if that is something you are interested in.

Pringel is moving to Germany to an American family who loves to go hiking. Thanks Tammy for working so hard to find a home, and then driving him to Stuttgart. That's Amore

Pringle has been with us for many weeks. He is a sweet-heart, great with other dogs (20) and children. That means that the children are nice to him and leaves him most of the time alone, if they want to interact with Pringle it's petting while sitting on the floor.

He has received his vaccinations and has been de-wormed regularly.

This little guy is well established in our hearts, but we do want to find the right home for him. We are not desperate to find him a home quickly --- we have already turned down 2 families --- since we want a good match on all sides. If you are the special someone that is meant to be Pringle's forever friend, we will surrender Pringle to you and your forever home. That's Amore.

RESCUED AND BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE AND NOW ADOPTED

THEY GOT NEW HOMES IN GERMANY. THAT'S AMORE! Romeo and Juliet approx 6 months old. First brought in to a family that didn't give them care and food. They were skin and bones. Rescued by a lovely lady who also found a foster home for them quickly. This fantastic guy brought them back to health and happiness. The only cloud now is that he is leaving --and that was known when asked as foster--so Romeo and Juliet need a home.

They are both spayed, and will be vaccinated the 20th.

BRUNO 2011 ADOPTED

Bruno was found roaming around on SS7 seeking human contact. People were not nice. Two animal friends open the car door and in flew Bruno. They drove him to Lega Pro were he got castrated. AWL picked him up and he is now at AWL Hospice getting fed and taken care off. He already in a week gained 5 kg. He is sweet with other dogs (together with 2 male dogs) but roams around the hospice during the day with all ages and breeds.
He is great with children. AND HE LOVES FOOD.

This is sweet Moosey-4 months old.

She is amazing, close to house broken, comes when you call her, sleeps through the night together with "dad."

Moosey goes together with a bunch of dogs, and is good with children, too. She has the softest fur I ever felt, and a really interesting mix of black and brown, in almost stripes. She's beautiful, you really have to see her to appreciate her.

I wish we could keep her....but with 21 dogs...sometimes you have to let go! Are you the special someone who deserves a dog as good as Moosey, and will promise to be her forever friend?

Billy Bob was following a man walking his dog, all the way into the man's home. He slept on the man's balcony until I picked him up 3 days later. He is the sweetest thing, young --under one year--loving after he takes the first step up to you. He is very quiet--so much so that people asked if he was ok?

He is very ok! But he likes to watch before doing something. No crate since he doesn't like to feel trapped. I would prefer older children so he doesn't have to get nervous why the constant running and screaming is about. Somebody who likes to do homework and he can rest in the room, and then a break for a walk. He wants a friend (for life).

He's currently in a home with several other dogs, and he gets along with them fine. He likes his play time with the others, but also his quiet time. He's affectionate once he gets to know you.

Everybody who have visited me loves him. He just has something special about him! We think he may have some Doberman and German Shepherd in him, but who can know for sure?

We are never in desperate need to adopt away these dogs that come into our hands. We want to get to know them, and the person that will take care of them. They deserve the right, loving "forever home", not a situation where they will be cast off again in a few years. Billy Bob is looking forward to that forever friend, and his forever home. Are you the one to give it to him?

That's for us, a lifetime committment shared between dog and master is Amore!

Billy Bob came walking in the rain on base. He spotted Bruce walking his dog and followed them, all the way in to his home. Billy Bob got to stay out on the balcony until Todd came with the medication kit, de worming, frontline, protein paste.
Today I picked him up and he is sweet shy guy 5 months old and knows his rank among 8 other dogs. He wants you to put down his food and walk away not looking while eating. No scream, noisy family. Seems like he has been abused.
He loves company, and plays very gentle.

He is a Doberman mix.

The Husky looking one is extremely friendly - she was tossed from a moving car and in the process the car hit her back leg. Apparently she had a terrible limp up until a few days ago so she seems to be healing well I guess, but still favors the right leg slightly. Thank you Deb and Tammy for feeding and now transporting them to LegaPro, for castration/sterilization and health check that AWL will pay. Thank you volunteers for team working and especially all you who donate to AWL. Your donations are making a difference for those who have had bad owners that do this to a fury friend.

Husky got a fosterhome, but of course a forever loving active fun home would be heaven.

The other strays are picking on this handsome guy, he needs a fosterhome asap. He has a gash on his side and a new one under his jawline into his neck area. He has many scars and has been beat up quite a bit. He is a bit shy in the beginning but when you start to scratch him he is in heaven. Please give him a fosterhome and best a forever home!

"UPDATE: She is getting her complete health check and spaying this

So many are leaving for vacations and are dumping their dogs. This little girl is one....

This little girl was dumped from a car at the AGIP station just outside
Support Site. She has been there a few days and is super friendly. Looks to be
about 15 lbs or so. She is being fed by big hearted person who stops there
everyday and needs at the very least a foster home. The gas station attendants
want nothing to do with her. We are getting her an appointment to be spayed and
hate to put her back on the street.

Dino was found in a pack of stray dogs in the streets of Naples. He was about 2 months, he’s about 4 now.

I am learning to trust life, can you help me?

. He is not house broken/trained, ( I saw him peeing in the house, but I did not feel like correct him, because I did not want to traumatize him even more).

Dino is a very happy dog but also shy. He doesn’t trust humans, and why should he? God only knows the cruelty he had to endure in his first months of life.

He loves sitting and sleeping by me on the carpet ( not too close though), loves being petted ( when I can get hold of him), and playing with other dogs. His favorite buddy is Doby!!!! (Look at the yesterdays blog)

He is together with Lea, Julian and Doby and doing great in the pack, they are teaching him to grow up! That's Amore

Doby is about 10 months.
Rita found him in the woods here in Naples. Doby as you can see from the pictures is an outdoor dog....always on the move. He is so much fun....he loves playing soccer or fetching!!! He wants a lot of attention, and looks for hugs and kisses.
His snout will fit right in the palm of your hands, and once you hold him, you will not let him go anymore. He likes snuggling on the couch, and being petted!!!!

A warm loving family adopted Leroy and are so content with him. That's Amore

Leroy was rescued by Sarah and has recovered fantastically together with her and her family. She found him as just skin and bones, chain around his neck, full of wounds. Now he looks great.
He is such a sweetheart, loves to sun bath in the garden and go for a ride.

New Pictures off the Muffin Men!

Muffin is a sweet heart, very energetic but then, she is young. No accidents during the night!!

Muffin needs a home --- a warm and loving one. She is so sweet and loving, full of life. She is great together with other dogs in all ages and genders, also great with children (2 1/2 and 5 year old).
She is light as a feather, like a circus dog. Sterilized and vaccinated, de-wormed and front lined.

She is around 7-8 months old with the softest fur. Listens to her name. Likes to cuddle... but not for too long :-)

Rescued in Castle Volturno from a busy street, where it was only a matter of time before she would be run over by cars at a high speed....

She's adopted!

A small 20lb. (8kg) jack russel/terrier mix that was living inside for 3 years, never outside. She lived with an older lady who can not care for her. Tan and white, short wire hair. apprx. 3 years old. Likes kids ALOT! Likes other dogs, cats I do not know. She is NOT housebroken, she was trained to potty on paper in the house, so the house is where she goes. She would make a good outside dog however. she is very sweet and loving and would make a great family pet. Barks when strangers are at the gate so effective as a small alarm. (Fostermom)
Today AWL had her brought out to be sterilized Her foster mother Wendy linked up with us at the clinic.

BELLA'S LIFE WITH A BROKEN HEARTAND NOW IN A WONDERFUL FOSTERHOME

bella gained weight right away. She is loving and fun in her new foster family and there is a Doberman female that doesn't mind Bella. The children are playing with her and she has started to be inside in their house.

I am not going to lie to you...nor am I going to try to hide anything about Bella's past. It is a long, sad story. The first time I met Bella, she was a stray that had been beaten. She was so scared and skinny and she had no "traffic manners" at all -- no apparent idea how to live on the streets. I think she's been locked in somewhere.

A family took her into their yard. For 8 months, she never gained weight --- no steralization was possible because as skinny as she was, it could jepordize her life. According to the family the owner of their house one time didn't close the gate, so Bella got out.... and got pregnant! When AWL found out about it we took her to the veterinarian and she had an abortion. She was always very scared in front of me, tail in between her legs. According to the father in the family whe was always scared when he stood up from the sofa and he didn't think much about her future as a dog. Bella's human mother held on to her for 8 months with AWL promising to take over her care as soon as they got their hospice/rehab clinic.

The family came out to the clinic where she stayed in a box, steralized and she was so happy to see them. They took her for a walk and then the father told me they wouldn't keep her, they were moving to another house where the new landlord didn't allowed dogs. He felt they should euthanize her! This was a shock, it was completely counter to what the wife had been telling the AWL president, Mia. Even the veterinarians heard one thing from the wife and one thing when the husband showed up. Mia was devastated and shocked, she had never experienced anything like this before.

It is likely just an excuse. Their own pet went along with them to the new house, and according to neighboors the landlord doesn't mind pets as long as they are kept in good care.

They left Bella and Mia at the clinic that day. Even now, weeks later, there have been no calls asking how she is doing and no donations or suggestions to solve the future for Bella.

Since then, we've seen Bella gaining weight. The Vet confirms this. She is lovely with children and cats and other dogs, she wants to play the whole time. She is very careful among men, but nothing major, she crawls to you when you call her and sometimes she can leak a little urine. Many of the volunteers love her heart and kindness, so we ask for a special home who knows what a commitment means. One who knows how to solve problems and communicate in a honest way.

Bella is blind on one eye (it doesn't bother her). She is probably 2-4 years old, healthy but needs some more meat on her bones (she is getting there!). When living with the family in the yard she ate gravel to fill her empty stomach. The veterinarian took out the gravel and her blood tests from two different clinics showed the same results--she was healthy but not happy. She is very sensative and she "reads" the future faster than you can.

Bella is a special girl that will be loving, long-term companion for a special person or family. She will give you so much more love than you give her. Beware, Bella will grip your heart and not let go!

These beautiful puppies need forever and loving homes. They will grow and you will have to be patient when they pee in your house, but with common sense and love you can have them trained in a heart-beat. They will chew...but you can remove what they are chewing on and give them something they are allowed to chew on. They want to explore life and have a lot of energy, that is when they get walked together with you. In return you will get a loyal, loving friend for the rest of your life....that is Amore.

LABRADOR MIX GOT A HOME

I am a black Labrador mix and they guess I am around 7 months old. I am kind of shy right now since I have been abandoned. When I will get to know you, I will be full of life and energy. I need exercise and having fun. You will have to teach me right from wrong, very calmly since I have no clue how your world is working. If you have children, teach them to be calm around me and that I sometimes need quiet time, too. I don't know yet but maybe I will chew on things, please teach me were and what I can chew on, don't get angry since I don't know anything how the human home works. Don't leave me a lone too long and I would love to be an inside and outdoor dog, because if you always have me outside I won't understand why my family walks inside and not together with me. I will feel lonely and that you punishing me.
I will snuggle with you and I promise to be your best and loyal friend forever.

Todd and I drove up and met them and it was a wonderful place. Maura and AWL gave a donation to the organization.
Bella Doberman is up for adoption. The wonderful family found her on the street last summer, skin and bones and with a terrible skin condition. Even though they have an old lady Doberman at home who doesn't like other Dobermans they didn't hesitate to rescue her.

Bella is over one year old a fast learner, but still very young in her mind. Her body coat is healed beautiful and she gained weight, we picked her up today after being sterilized. She was out for a walk today with another Bella on the picture and she was very good.

She behaved very well at the clinic, and Dr Gigi calm and nice did a good job. Bella got a nice bikini scar! Maura the mom in the family is having a hard time letting Bella go and want to stay in touch with the new adopting person (and also help out if needed)

Bella is having a problem being around young children, she doesn't understand their energies. But there is so much love in this dog, great in car, knows to sit and wait.....she is waiting for you.

Me and my daughter Olivia took her out for a walk. She is wonderful Jumped right into my car without me telling her. Today she got her Rabies injection.

Been living with her mate in an abandoned car for some time. Either they ran away or got dumped. Athena is up for adoption, to someone who is used to these kind of strong loving breeds.
She is a mix of Boxer/Pitbull, around 3 years old, spayed and will be vaccinated in ten days.

She is great among humans, but we don't know how she is with other dogs. She lived on the street but coming among other pets we don't know. Great guard dog, why not educating her for some private lessons, to get to know her better.

She was great at the veterinarian today.

Very quiet in the car, used to be in a crate, She slept in one, and was transported to the vet. clinic in one. She has a dominant caracter towards other dogs.

Update; She is confident. She doesn't jump on the sofa even if the other dogs are up on the sofa. Housebroken. Wonderful happy dog. Comes when you call. Loves men. She's clean and microchip. She is quiet inside and good, right now lives in an apartment together with 4 other dogs. Not afraid for rain loves walks!

Found on base, no microchip, no collar....she is right now together with other dogs, and she is so fantastic towards them, and children. She is a lucky catch. One off our volunteers got her right now and tells us she is fantastic.

They named her M'lann and tells us that she has a very sweet disposition and think she is about 4 years old.

She has been a mother before. She looks relatively healthy and our volunteer took her to the vet this morning. This is a fantastic Amore dog, gentle and good with other dogs and children. What a girl.

Lucy got a wonderful family up North living together with 5 cats and being boss over a Dobberman. Thank you Martina and Pio for giving her a new fantastic life!

Lucy was left tied up at a closed gas station next to a very busy highway. Her little pink collar still no, not understanding why she suddenly was abandoned. Does anyone recognise her?

She is young, not even one year old. Gentle, happy and adorable. We will bring her in to have her sterilized and a health check up. What has happened to people's hearts? What could this little ball of joy have done to deserve such a thing?

FRANCESCO MIRACLE CAT GOT A HOME W NEW FRIENDS

This is Francesco. He is a lovely 3-4 month old kitten, he loves being petted, loves his toy and he is very affectionate despite being a stray kitty. He had a very rough start to his young life. He fell from a balcony, was immediately run over by a car, and being so traumatized tried to hide in the engine of a fire truck where he sustained additional injuries!

His hind legs were severely damaged and he suffered a dislocated hip. Dr Damiani called him a " Miracle Cat" because not only did he survive this ordeal but is recovering at an amazing rate. He must have his bandages changed every few days, requiring anaesthesia each time. He is able to use the litter box and moves around surprisingly well even using his one bandaged leg to help him get around at his current foster home

His dislocated hip is not a problem and his prognosis is good for the other injury to his legs. He likely will have very limited use of one of his hind legs. But it's not stopping him from curiously checking out his home with the company of the other resident kitty! He had to be confined initially to a bathroom for his own well being. His new foster family will understand that he must be kept strictly indoors for his own safety.

Francesco is a fighter and deserves every chance at happiness in a forever home!

Some would say its wasted money, or too much money to put on "a stray cat" but for AWL he is a client. We would do it for you, too. Please give Francesco a forever warm home!

They feed him, but they mistreat him; they keep him on a very short chain, he can barely move around and they want to get rid of him.
He gets very scared of fireworks and thunder. Apparently they torment the dog by lighting off firework around him and then slap and hit him when he gets worked up over it!

When fostermom Karina picked him up she knew they would keep him. His name is Coby and he loves his new home.

New pictures January 25th. The fostermoms 6 year old son named him Coby, and he loves to go in the car.

Angelo was found on the street and brought into an outdoor shelter. He is around 10 weeks old and very sweet and like all puppies, playful.

AWL got a phone call from a family that wanted a puppy and AWL Jackie working in our puppy section sent them pictures. They fell for Angelo.

It was rainy and cold, AWL Todd drove out to the shelter and picked up Angelo. At first he was a little timid but after 5 minutes he crawled up in Todd's lap while driving.

He dropped Angelo off at Jackie's home were he got a nice bowl of food and washed off.

This family had earlier had their house broken into, but that didn't stop them from driving and picking Angelo up, the puppy they had longed after for some time. All our luck and love to you all.

In the shelter there were suddenly many puppies! Jackie our AWL volunteer worked hard in the puppy section. Cleaning, loving and making them used to human hands.
The wind and rain were miserable yesterday sheets of it hitting the kennels, saturating all the dogs and puppies. It was a mess. But Jackie escorted the family out there and introduced them to the pups.

What a happy ending for these two. What a beautiful start to the new year 2010.

Update 21 December. Freckles is spayed and doing great in her Foster home together with other dogs and cats. Same goes with children she is so sweet to them.

Update, Finally we got some good news and that also thanks to Sarah from NFOA. I meet Freckless "mom" who had been feeding her outside their gate for months. She wanted to bring F inside but with 3 dogs in the house there were no more room. Lindsay have been keeping an eye on F giving her a warm blanket and a tummy full off food every day. Last Monday I met Lindsay with Freckless, I have to say Lindsay had thought about everything; collar, leach, vitamin, food, blanket, treats and a toy. How heartwarming and thoughtful. Lindsay cried when saying good bye to Freckless and so did I, it was very touching.

Sarah from NFOA are helping us and I am so thankful for that. Freckless will be at the adoption day that NFOA will have this Saturday.

If I didn't have 17 dogs I would bring her home, she is so sweet and loving, wants attention the whole time. We will follow her and make sure she will have/get a loving forever home.

She showed up with her sister in a Parco. Her sister was sadly hit by a car.
AWL needs your help to get her a warm home, a foster home will also be wonderful. We don't want her to be killed by a car or that something else is going hurt her. Winter, with it's rain and cold is coming soon!

This is happy Paul, a sweet happy content little dog that was saved by a nice family.

He is about 6 months old, castrated, vaccinated, so he has his little book. He is a border Collie mix and that means = energy and play

And after that, sleep and love.

He's great with kids, very playful and energetic and in no way aggressive. He is very smart and curious, so he checks out anything he sees. He loves to run and play.
The reason why the family like to give him up for adoption is that the husband travel a lot and his wife has her hands full with their 18-months-old.

For that little guy Paul is also a bit too much to handle. Although Paul acts carefully with him, he is just too playful and knocks him over every now and then, so the 2 have to be constantly watched when they play. Paul would be perfect for bigger kids.

No picture yet but this kitten is black and the only one of the litter who survived and needs a foster home or forever home asap. In a wrecked car, they were born among crushed glass and the rain dripping on them --- the mother and 5 kittens are dead.

Jackie had been feeding them and is devestated now that only one little small scared one is left struggling to live and grow. Please help. Blackie is only 5-6 weeks old.

Update,
Abby is doing great in her foster family and they love her very much. She loves to lay under their coffee table the whole day. Health wise much better, still sneezing but no blood. If you want a calm dog, this is the perfect one, warm and quiet but with a happy face.

Abby was dumped at a gas station located on a busy highway. With an infection in her body, sneezing blood, we got her to the veterinarian Dr Damiani for treatment. Right now she is living in a foster-home together with one cat and a small dog.

She is loving, friendly, around 5 years old and spayed. Right now very calm. Great in the car, great at the veterinaryclinic. She is a loving soul, who will be a great companion for a loving, human, soul.

Sammy is 2-3 years old. Right now he is getting all his shots, rabies vaccination, micro-chipped, castrated and having surgery to repair a hernia. He will stay at the Lega Pro Animale clinic for ten (10) days.

He is so sweet and well known in Lago Patria. He follows and sits with you at different cafes. He was in a home and the husband loved him so dearly but the wife didn't want him (Sammy, not the husband) and he was out on the streets again. He is super friendly, great with children, great in my car--he sat in my lap the whole way out to the clinic!

I want this dog so badly myself, but with 13 dogs in the house its just not possible. When you adopt him you will have me making a thorough investigation about you and your home. Because Sammy is so special, he deserves the best. He is horrible/brave in the traffic, he must have nine (9) lives, I've had to help protect him more than a few times. Today I had had it, and picked him up while he was sunbathing on the road in the 4-laner, after a call about a possibly injured dog. That's Sammy!

Things he likes to do: He loves to play ball with people. He cannot resist catching a ball if you through it.

Loves to catch Frisbee. Loves to play with squeaky toys. He loves water. He doesn't enjoy the shower but don't fight with me when I wash him.

I tough him to sit, stay, lay down, paw/high five, wait to eat until I say "Go!" I do walk him 2-3 times a day or as much as I can and we (including my kids) try to play with him.

He still pulls me especially when he sees cats or lizards but other than that he walks fine with me and if I stop, he'll stop and wait.

He behaves much better now compare to when we got him. He loves to be cuddled and definitely enjoy being with people. Oh, yeah and he loves to give kisses.

What a wonderful evening it was yesterday. I took two women out to a shelter for them to find one or two dogs that they felt the wanted to adopt. Arriving at the shelter some misunderstanding had happened, we had been promised to be able to stay a little longer after they closed. The information hadn't gone through to those who worked, and they were not eager to stay. So we left the 500 dogs with heavy heart, they ladies wanted to give them a home and love. Driving them back home we went another way, and I was suddenly surprised to see Grace and Cucci sitting by the road. For months I had been driving this way, but never before had i seen them there. I stopped, and went out happy to greet them and at the same time I told the ladies their story. Suddenly I heard them say; "Can we adopt them?"

Grace is having problems with her front wrists and will be on medication. She needs a quiet life, if so a foster home until I can take care off her (1-2 years from now)
Sterilized, de wormed and frontline. Great in the car.

Grace is so sweet; she let me examine her without doing anything, gentle and polite. I picked ticks from her ear, and she didn't even blink. What a big heart.

Cucci castrated, de wormed, frontline. So sweet and loving, like a big baby. Friendly to other dogs, great in the car.

His name is Kimi after a Formula-1 driver, he is about 2 years old and loves to lay on laps. Kimi is very friendly but easily scared. AWL is searching for a rehab foster home for this sweet female. Her two back legs are probably broken. We have arranged to pick her up from the shelter were she has been for three (3) years.

We'll transfer her to a vet. clinic for examination, x ray and if necessary...surgery. What we need is a calm, loving foster home for her to recover in. Recovery time is hard to tell, it can be everything between 2 weeks to 6 months that she needs proper care, rest and love. She will give you so much back, she is the sweetest, kindest, loving dog I have ever met.

Lindy brushed her, bathed her, and even cut her claws. She only loved sitting there in the grass being seen, touched and talked to.

Please put your own needs to the side, open your door for someone that needs healing.

you name this little self going terrier mix. Around 10 kg, spayed female, good with children, other dogs and cats. We think she was abounded by a family, she is a really behaved good dog.

Romeo was found in a storm drainer a dark night. His parents had to leave him since they couldn't get down 2 meters to rescue him. But David did!

Romeo is 6-8 weeks old, playful, likes children and is in a foster home together with another female dog.

David and Ida wants to find the perfect home for him.

Pure breed, black, female, sterilized Labrador.

Adorable, happy and smart. The first minute, she is over-happy, jumping; next minute walks behind you like a puppy. Great with other dogs, in a kennel or in the park playing with both female and males. Born retreiver... the picture shows that.

We think she is about 2 years old.

Her name is Stella and means "STAR" in Italian.

Sweet sensitive male, around one year-old needs a home were he can relax and grow both on the inside and outside.

He is now at a foster home with seven other dogs and needs to be in a forever home to learn a few things. He was found wounded on the street. Maria and Michelle brought him in, cleaned his wounds and made sure he got medical treatment. One wound was were the collar is and still he is still kind of protective around that area if you try to pull him away. He is not aggressive, he is a young, novice boy who needs a gentle hand and clever, willing mind.

AWL want to thank Maira Kurta for the collars in different sizes, and toy. Also did Maria and her friend Michelle donate two big bags of dog food. That is so wonderful Amore, thank you.
